Do you drink enough water?

Water helps to transport nutrients around the body, flushing out toxins and waste products.

Water also helps to lubricate joints, eyes and aids digestion. It contributes to healthy skin maintenance and aids digestion and can help prevent constipation. One’s skin can also benefit from drinking enough water to keep it from drying out too much. As we work and sweat, we continually use and lose water; it is important to keep up drinking enough fluids when you work hard or it is hot. Water contains many essential minerals and without these one can feel tired and lacking energy.

It is important our cells are hydrated sufficiently. Dehydration can easily happen when your body starts to lose more fluids than you are taking in. Dehydration often makes you feel hungry, tired, weak, thirsty and can very often produce headaches and a dry mouth.

During convalescence, it is wise to drink plenty of water to avoid dehydration. It is even said that drinking water helps to maintain one's alertness and may even help concentration.

It is a well known fact that you can survive for longer without food than water.
